In March, Dr. Neuhoff, Ashlee and Deidra traveled to Chicago to attend the annual
Midwest Podiatry Conference, a three-day event our office participates in every year.
This conference is a great opportunity for us to stay current on the latest developments
in podiatric medicine and to connect with other podiatrists and podiatric medical
assistants from around the region.
Dr. Neuhoff attended sessions covering a range of topics including various surgical
procedures, treatment for diabetic foot infections and ulcers, diagnosis of cancers and
other skin diseases in the toenails and foot, pediatric and sports-related injuries and
fractures.
Meanwhile, Dee and Ashlee explored presentations on diabetes
management, minimally invasive surgeries and foot and ankle trauma among other
topics.
One especially fascinating session featured a forensic podiatrist who shared how
footprint analysis has been used to assist in law enforcement investigations, definitely
a unique and memorable highlight.
Overall, the conference was both informative and engaging. As always, we also
enjoyed the chance to unwind with some great dinners during our time in Chicago.
